Genealogical sources
The main sources used to feed our data base are the following:
- Documents belonging to the Schleppi, Stauffer, Tschanz, Geiser families (mostly going back to about 1850)
- Personal communications by relatives (thank you all!)
- Archives and/or church books of Lignières, Cornaux, Schüpfen and Kallnach
- Archives of Lenk and Notes by R. Oehler taken from there (only partly consulted so far)
- Genealogical tree from Samuel Schläppi (Lenk i.S.) as established by Martin Schläppi
- Data about the Junod kindly given by Nicolas
- Schwab line provided by Willi Schwab
- Internet for the German and American branches, partly also for the Bonjour
- Fro the United States, many of these data are indirectly from the book Descendants of Hans Ulrich Schleppi by Robert Samuel Schleppi Gateway Press, 1977). So far, we haven't been able to get it here in Switzerland.
- Data from the archives of Cressier and Enges kindly provided by Jeanne-Hélène Ruedin
